Relationship of second grade pupils to sport

Title: Relationship of second grade pupils to sport Objectives: The main goal of this thesis is to describe a relationship of lower- secondary pupils to sport. Partial goal was to reveal whether students do sport regularly, who made them start sport and whether sport activities or education of parents have an influence on their relationship to sport. Furthermore, a student 's lifestyle is evaluated, namely how they spend their leisure time. This work is also focused on the impact of gender and place of residence on doing sport. Method: A relationship of lower-secondary pupils to sport was examined via questionnaire, which was created specially for this research. Results: The outcome is that 97 % of pupils consider sport very important from the point of view of health, overall majority thinks it is important from the point of view of economics. No impact of gender was shown. The good news is that 84 % of respondents consider sport as part of their lifestyle and 88 % of respondents do sport regularly or irregularly. The results show that with the increasing level of education of parents, the positive attitude towards sports in children also grows. Eating Habits of High School Students

(in English) Aims: The aim of the diploma thesis was to monitor the eating habits of students from chosen high school which is located in Prague. These habits were taken into consideration with regards to social aspects of food and the causes of overweight and obesity. Methods: Qualitative research was used as the default method to determine the objective of the thesis. Based on literature review the survey was created. The respondents subjectively evaluated a set of questions relating to food and eating habits. Results: According to the findings, a major impact on eating habits of high school students has a family in general or household, in which students live. Cooking trend at home plays an important role, even when talking about boom in eating at restaurants and fast foods. Regardless of household income, students are used to really eat most often at home (breakfast and dinner) and at school (lunch). As for eating habits, respondents, from the vast majority, do not pay any attention to this process. And even if the results of the research showed that a large majority of students think they eat healthily, then less than half of them is not satisfied with own weight. Contemporary reflection on the relationship of social stratification and consumption

This bachelor thesis summarizes theories that deal with the relationship between social stratification and cultural consumption. In the first chapter, basic theories of social stratification are briefly summarized. Then the author introduces Pierre Bourdieu's distinction theory and his follower's and critic's contributions. The second part of the work deal with the contemporary theories of social stratification and cultural consumption relationship, focusing especially on the cultural omnivores concept. However, two other basic concepts of the relationship - the homology concept and the concept of individualism - are presented as well in this part.

Lifestyle as a determinant of overweight and obesity

Diploma thesis "Lifestyle as a determinant of overweight and obesity" focuses on risk factors determination which influences overweight and obesity in population in regards to failure of programmes dealing with this topic. Main goal of this thesis is to understand current lifestyle of chosen group of people because traditional understanding for reasons of overweight and obesity - higher energy income than outcome - seems to be insufficient. Further target is current Czech policy analysis, especially part of policy dealing with overweight and obesity prevention and its connection with European Union. In the first part of the thesis reader takes up with overweight and obesity as itself. This is followed by targets and research questions definition. Primary method is qualitative research. There is no generally accepted definition for this kind of research and therefore this method is briefly described here. Method used for policy analysis is content analysis. For this part i used domestic public policy documents as well as abroad ones. (in english): The Bachelor thesis "Analysis of the Local Specifics of Young Drug Users' Life Style as Basis for Prevention Planning" focuses on the young drug users' life style in the town called Hostivice. It aims to suggest changes in the local prevention program on the basics of analysis of the drug users' life style and analysis of the primary prevention program. In the theoretical part, the concepts of the environment, local community and life style are defined beacuse of the focus the whole thesis. It describes and analysis local primary prevention program. The practical part is contained by ethnographical research, which it analysis young drug users' life style by participant observation and interviews.
